A chrome set from end to end

A chrome set from end to end

This model is chrome throughout: the flat bar, the handset holder, the handset and the ribbed metal hose. There are no black or white parts: the shiny chrome blends into a standard shower and goes with any chrome mixer.

It has no tap and no rain head. It connects to your existing taps to renew the bar, handset and hose in one go.

It is the most neutral set in our bar range: nothing catches the eye. It suits anyone who simply wants to replace worn equipment like for like.

A compact handset, several zones

A compact handset, several zones

The handset measures 100 mm in diameter and 234 mm long, with a 33 mm head thickness, according to the dimensioned diagram. Its face is divided into several nozzle sectors of different shapes.

A side lug on the head switches from one jet to another. Its compact size suits small hands and narrow showers.

The chrome holder, in the detail photo, lets the handset tilt to aim the water. The ribbed metal hose, also chrome, resists rubbing against the tray better than a plastic hose.

Connections and fitting

Connections and fitting

The diagram shows a G1/2 B connection, which is the standard 1/2″ (15x21). The hose has two nuts, each with its black washer, visible in the photo: one end on the mixer, the other on the handset.

The bar is fixed to the wall with screws and wall plugs. The hose is tightened by hand: tightening with pliers could crush the washer.

For upkeep, a damp microfibre cloth restores the shine of the chrome. Run the water for a minute before screwing on the handset, to flush impurities out of the hose.

What makes the difference

Receiving just the one part, and having to order the rest elsewhere.

A zamak body with a simple chrome plating: the finish flakes off and the metal pits underneath.

Our answer

A brass body, the benchmark material for taps: it does not rust and withstands hot water without warping.

Finding out at installation that the drilling does not match.

Our answer

The installation type is stated on the product page before you buy, here wall-mounted.
