Choosing well: Bath Tap

Choosing well: Bath Tap

A shower head is chosen on flow and jet type. A stated flow of around 8 to 10 litres per minute is enough for a comfortable shower; beyond that, you are heating water for nothing. Models with a flow restrictor cut consumption without you feeling the difference.

Bath Tap: jets, flow and water saving

Bath Tap: jets, flow and water saving

Between two shower heads, what decides is the number of jets, the anti-limescale system and the weight — a heavy head tires the hose and ends up making it sag.

  • Brass body
  • Silicone nozzles, descalable by finger
  • Several jet types to choose from, from the gentlest to the most invigorating
  • Standard 15/21 thread, screws onto any common hose
  • Controlled flow, to heat less water without losing comfort

Think about the hose that goes with it: Flexible Spout Kitchen Sink Tap fits on the same thread.

Descaling it in five minutes

Descaling it in five minutes

Descale it every three months: a soak in lukewarm white vinegar for an hour is enough to restore the original flow. The silicone nozzles are cleaned with a finger.

On a shower installation, maintenance comes down to limescale. A descaled hose and clear nozzles restore the original pressure — this is almost always where the impression of a weakening shower comes from.

In the same spirit, Shower System with Shower Head completes the installation.

What makes the difference

A zamak body with a simple chrome plating: the finish flakes off and the metal pits underneath.

Can I fit it in place of my old one?
It's wall-mounted: the tap comes out of the wall, on the existing water supplies. The worktop stays completely clear.
What connector size do I need?
The connection is 1/2″. That is the French standard thread for water supplies: your existing hoses screw straight on.
What is the tap made of?
Brass, the reference material for taps: it doesn't rust and handles hot water without warping.
How do I look after it?
A soft cloth and soapy water are enough. Avoid any acidic or chlorine-based product: that's what dulls a matt black coating.
Are taps easy to install yourself?

Most of our models are designed to be easy to fit yourself, with clear instructions and standard tools. For some of the more complex models, it may be advisable to call in a professional.

What should I do if my tap starts to leak?

If your tap starts to leak, first check whether the problem comes from the seals or the cartridge. These parts can wear over time and are easy to replace. If the problem persists, contact our customer service team for help or to claim under the guarantee, if applicable.
