A black square, three handles to choose from

A black square, three handles to choose from

The head of this handset is a square with softened corners, with a black face dotted with pale nozzles. This contrast is found in all three finishes: only the handle changes, in chrome, black or gold tone.

All black suits a shower with black taps; chrome suits a classic set; the gold tone suits a bathroom with warm accents.

The square head sits upright on its holder, in line with the bar. This model costs €49.90: an inexpensive way to freshen up a shower.

Three spray modes in one head

Three spray modes in one head

Three photos show the same handset in action: a fine rain that covers a wide area, tight straight streams, then an aerated jet with large drops. You switch from one jet to another with the small lug visible on the side of the head.

The pale nozzles on a black background have one advantage: you can see at once which ones are clogged.

Rub them with a finger or a soft brush to clear them. The three jets let you move from a light massage to a wide rinse without changing handset.

A bar, no tap

A bar, no tap

The set is a chrome shower bar with a slider, and the handset. It has no tap and no rain head: it connects to the mixer already installed.

On the connection side, the supplier states 1/2″ (15x21). The handset screws onto your hose by hand, with the washer in place.

The bar is fixed to the wall by its two brackets, which means drilling. On tiles, use a suitable drill bit and start without hammer action. The slider then sets the handset height for each user. Tighten the hose by hand, never with pliers.

What makes the difference

A zamak body with a simple chrome plating: the finish flakes off and the metal pits underneath.

Our answer

A brass body, the benchmark material for taps: it does not rust and withstands hot water without warping.

Finding out at installation that the drilling does not match.

Our answer

The installation type is stated on the product page before you buy, here wall-mounted.
