A suction cup you lock

A suction cup you lock

The base is a large transparent suction cup mounted in a cup. On the front, a flat lever creates the vacuum: press the holder against the wall, then fold the lever down so that it stays pressed on.

This screw-free, glue-free fixing can be repositioned at will: move the handset up or down depending on who is showering, or relocate it to bathe a child.

The dimensioned diagram shows 10.5 cm high by 7 cm base. When you move house, you take it off with one movement of the lever and it goes with you, leaving no mark on the wall.

An adjustable fork

An adjustable fork

Above the base, an open fork takes the handle of the handset. It is mounted on a notched joint: the photo labelled “360 Rotation” shows it can be turned to choose the angle of the spray.

By playing with this rotation, you get a “hands-free” shower aimed at the shoulders, back or legs.

Two versions: glossy chrome, or entirely white, suction cup included. The throat of the fork is open at the top: the handset is set in and taken out with one hand, without clipping. It suits handsets with a classic handle, which come to rest against the fork by the flare of their head.

Where to fix it so it holds

Where to fix it so it holds

A suction cup needs a perfectly smooth, non-porous surface: shower screen glass, a large glazed tile, a mirror. It grips poorly on a grout line, textured tiles or paint.

Clean the area, place the suction cup flat, then fold the lever down. If it loses grip over time, release the lever, wipe the suction cup and start again.

The supplier states brass, but the look in the photos isn't that of a solid metal holder: we don't guarantee it. Avoid hanging from or pulling hard on the handset resting in it: a suction cup holds a weight, not a strain.

What makes the difference

Receiving just the one part, and having to order the rest elsewhere.

Our answer
  • 1 suction-cup shower head holder

A zamak body with a simple chrome plating: the finish flakes off and the metal pits underneath.

Our answer

A brass body, the benchmark material for taps: it does not rust and withstands hot water without warping.

Finding out at installation that the drilling does not match.

Our answer

The installation type is stated on the product page before you buy, here wall-mounted.

Are taps easy to install yourself?

Most of our models are designed to be easy to fit yourself, with clear instructions and standard tools. For some of the more complex models, it may be advisable to call in a professional.

What should I do if my tap starts to leak?

If your tap starts to leak, first check whether the problem comes from the seals or the cartridge. These parts can wear over time and are easy to replace. If the problem persists, contact our customer service team for help or to claim under the guarantee, if applicable.
