What it is, exactly

What it is, exactly

Despite its name, this is not a rain-head shower system: it is a chrome wall-mounted shower bar, with a slider and a round handset. There is no tap: water comes from your mixer or thermostatic valve.

It is the simplest way to update a shower without touching the plumbing: you keep the taps and change the bar and handset.

It also suits a rental, where you don't touch the plumbing: the bar and handset can be swapped, and the taps stay. Allow a few minutes for connecting once the bar is up.

A round multi-jet handset

A round multi-jet handset

The handset head is round, ringed with chrome, with a white face pierced with nozzles. Three photos show three different jets: a wide rain, tighter streams and a concentrated jet.

You switch from one to another with the small button on the side of the head. The soft jet suits children, the tight jet suits rinsing thick hair.

The nozzles on the face are raised: rubbing them with a finger clears the limescale. Rinse the head after each shower to avoid dried drops on the chrome.

Fitting on the wall

Fitting on the wall

The bar is fixed by two wall brackets, top and bottom: a few holes need drilling in the tiles or wall, with suitable wall plugs.

The handset screws onto a hose with the standard 1/2″ (15x21) connection, the thread found on almost all shower mixers in France.

Once the bar is up, the slider is adjusted by hand and locks at the right height for each user. If you keep your current hose, check its condition: a cracked or scaled-up hose should be replaced at the same time.

What makes the difference

A zamak body with a simple chrome plating: the finish flakes off and the metal pits underneath.

Our answer

A brass body, the benchmark material for taps: it does not rust and withstands hot water without warping.

Finding out at installation that the drilling does not match.

Our answer

The installation type is stated on the product page before you buy, here wall-mounted.

Is there a rain shower head?
No: it is a shower rail with a handset. For overhead rain, choose a shower column with a rain shower head.
Is it compatible with my mixer?
Yes, if your mixer has a standard 1/2″ (15x21) outlet, the most common case.
How do I change the spray?
With the button on the side of the shower handset head.
Do I need to drill?
Yes, for the rail's two brackets; allow for wall plugs suited to your wall.
Are taps easy to install yourself?

Most of our models are designed to be easy to fit yourself, with clear instructions and standard tools. For some of the more complex models, it may be advisable to call in a professional.

What should I do if my tap starts to leak?

If your tap starts to leak, first check whether the problem comes from the seals or the cartridge. These parts can wear over time and are easy to replace. If the problem persists, contact our customer service team for help or to claim under the guarantee, if applicable.
