PVC Shower Hose - Black

The photo shows it coiled on itself: the sheath and both nuts are black, with no chrome ring or shine. It is the hose to choose when the mixer, handset and bracket are black and a shiny pipe would spoil the set.

The supplier describes smooth PVC, with no spiral around it. On white tiles or polished concrete, it draws a clean line between the mixer and the handset; in a dark shower, it blends into the décor. It has no rings or shiny sleeve, only a matt, even tube.

With no steel sheath, this hose weighs little at the end of the handset. The grip stays balanced in the hand, and the hose does not knock against the glass screen with a metallic noise when you put it back.

Its surface has no coils or grooves. On black, however, dried limescale drops show as white dots: a pass with a squeegee or microfibre cloth after your shower keeps it even. Avoid abrasive creams, which would leave the black dull in places. Lukewarm water is enough afterwards.

At 1.50 m, it suits most showers fitted with a wall bracket or shower rail. If the handset has to reach the bottom of a bath, measure the distance from the mixer first.

The thread is not stated by the supplier, who says it is compatible with most shower systems; in France, mixers and handsets almost always connect in 1/2″ (15x21), the French standard. Turn off the water, unscrew the old hose, place a washer in each nut and tighten by hand. No tools are needed. Turn the water back on gently and check both nuts.
