Wood instead of metal

Wood instead of metal

This panel stands out first for its brown front, veined like a walnut board. In a white bathroom, as in the atmosphere photo, it brings the warmth of a wooden piece of furniture where you would expect a chrome tube.

The shape follows a straight line along the wall and then tilts forwards at the top: this curved part pours the water over the head.

The column is stated as stainless steel; the wood tone is therefore a surface finish. It is the choice for a nature-inspired bathroom, with wood or plants.

Jets on the front and on the edge

Jets on the front and on the edge

On the front, small jets form grids at back and leg height. On the edge of the panel, four chrome square jets stick out one above the other: they aim at the person from the side, and not just from the front.

A rectangular chrome handset is stored on a metal holder at the bottom of the panel, with its hose.

On the side, a small dark shelf holds a tube of shower gel or shampoo. The square jets are seen in profile in the photos: their face points out at an angle, so the spray goes towards the centre of the shower and not against the wall.

Fitting and care of the front

Fitting and care of the front

The panel is fixed against the wall, surface-mounted, on existing water supplies; the pipework stays hidden behind. In the atmosphere photo, it is set in a walk-in shower with a tray, without a screen.

The wood-effect front is cared for like a delicate surface: a soft cloth, soapy water, then wipe dry. No scouring sponge, which would mark the decor.

The jets themselves are descaled from time to time with diluted white vinegar if the water is hard. If your supplies don't fall behind the panel, a plumber will move them before fitting.

What makes the difference

A zamak body with a simple chrome plating: the finish flakes off and the metal pits underneath.

Our answer

A stainless steel body: immune to corrosion, it keeps its look despite constant contact with water.

Finding out at installation that the drilling does not match.

Our answer

The installation type is stated on the product page before you buy, here wall-mounted.
