A column that keeps your mixer

A column that keeps your mixer

This column has no tap: that's by design. It connects to the mixer you already have, in place of the old shower hose. The water enters at the bottom of the bar, into the diverter, then goes up to the rain shower head or out to the handset.

It's the way to go from a simple shower rail to a real rain shower without breaking the tiles or moving the supplies. The tube is round and chrome, the top arm follows a soft curve, and the 20 x 20 cm square rain shower head contrasts with these curves.

Two outlets, one diverter

Two outlets, one diverter

The diverter at the foot of the bar turns to choose the outlet: rain from above to relax, handset to rinse or wash the screen. The captioned photos show it as a simple switch between the two.

The 8 x 8 cm square handset offers several spray modes, according to the supplier's visual, without specifying how many. Its holder slides along the bar to suit every family member, children included. The hose leaves from the bottom of the column, which leaves the handset free to move.

Before ordering: height and connection

Before ordering: height and connection

The column is 112 cm high overall. It sits above your mixer: if the mixer comes out of the wall at 1.10 m, the rain shower head will be at about 2.20 m. Check that your ceiling leaves that margin, allowing a few centimetres for the arm.

The bar is fixed to the wall with screwed brackets, so you will need to drill. The supplier doesn't state the connector diameter; the vast majority of shower mixers have a 1/2″ (15x21) outlet. If in doubt about your outlet, write to us before ordering.

What makes the difference

Buying the mixer, the rail and the shower head separately and hoping they match.

Our answer

A complete set: everything arrives matching, in the same finish, with the fixings included.

Breaking into the tiles to conceal the tap.

Our answer

Surface-mounted installation on the two existing outlets: no chasing, nothing to make good.

A fixed shower head that aims at your head and nothing else.

Our answer

A rain shower head that covers the shoulders, paired with an adjustable handset.

Turning the water off to change outlet, then setting the temperature again every time.

Our answer

A diverter that switches from one outlet to the other without touching the mix.

Metal nozzles that clog with limescale and end up being cleared with a needle.

Our answer

Soft silicone nozzles: a swipe of the thumb lifts off limescale.
