A square shower bar, not a rain shower system

A square shower bar, not a rain shower system

This model has neither a rain head nor a mixer: it is a square-section chrome wall-mounted shower bar with a slider and a handset. It connects to the taps you already have.

The square profile goes well with straight-lined mixers and extra-flat shower trays. The title states brass, a material the supplier also declares.

Measure the gap between the old holes if you are replacing an existing bar: a different spacing means filling and redrilling. The square bar cleans with one wipe of a sponge, with no recess where water collects. This is a set for anyone who wants to change the look of the shower without building work.

A slider you adjust with one finger

A slider you adjust with one finger

The slider has a small black button: press it, slide the handset along the bar, release and it stays put. No knob to loosen, no screw that seizes up with limescale.

The handset holder swivels, so you can tilt the spray towards you or towards the wall.

One photo also shows the handset on a simple wall holder, without the bar: the head and handle are the same. This quick adjustment avoids the tightening screw that often ends up seizing.

The handset dimensions

The handset dimensions

The dimensioned diagram gives a head 120 mm in diameter, an overall length of 263 mm and a head thickness of 28 mm. The handle is black, the head chrome with a white face pierced with nozzles.

A small lug on the side of the head is used to change jet. The connection is the standard 1/2″ (15x21), like most hoses sold in France.

The bar is fixed to the wall by its two brackets: have a drill, wall plugs and a spirit level ready to fit it straight.

What makes the difference

A zamak body with a simple chrome plating: the finish flakes off and the metal pits underneath.

Our answer

A brass body, the benchmark material for taps: it does not rust and withstands hot water without warping.

Finding out at installation that the drilling does not match.

Our answer

The installation type is stated on the product page before you buy, here wall-mounted.
