Black Anti-Limescale Shower Head

The head has a high rim, almost a short cylinder, framing the face. The face has a ring of white holes around the edge and, in the centre, several rings of outlets.

Everything is matt black, from the rim to the connector: it is the shower head to choose to go with a black mixer, a black rail or dark screen profiles. The handle is straight and long, easy to grip.

The high rim also protects the face from knocks if the handset falls into the tray. The shower head is bulkier than a flat-headed model: it is meant to be seen, which is the point when you choose a black bathroom.

The photo board shows five different sprays: a tight rain, a wide rain, a very fine mist, and two intermediate sprays. You cycle through them by turning the face with the lug on the side.

The supplier describes it as an anti-limescale, water-saving shower head, with no figures or explanation: we do not promise more than that. In practice, run your hand over the face after showering.

The mist spray is good for freshening up your face or rinsing a child without splashing; the rain sprays are for every day, and the tighter sprays for rinsing thick hair.

The thread at the bottom of the handle is the standard 1/2″ (15x21). Screw it onto your hose by hand, washer well seated: no tools, no drilling, no plumber needed.

Matt black quickly shows white limescale marks: a wipe with a cloth after use, and a mild soap now and then. Abrasive products would make it shiny in patches.
