Choosing well: Bath mixer tap

Choosing well: Bath mixer tap

A bath mixer tap is chosen on its centres — almost always 15 cm — and on whether it has a bath-shower diverter. Without a diverter, you need a second water point for the handset.

The other models are gathered in our Bathroom Mixer Tap.

Bath mixer tap: hole spacing and bath-shower diverter

Bath mixer tap: hole spacing and bath-shower diverter

Between two models, the quality of the diverter decides: it is the part that fails first, well before the mixer body.

  • Brass body
  • Built-in bath-shower diverter
  • Standard 15 cm centres, adjustable with the eccentrics
  • Ceramic cartridge, for drip-free operation
  • Replacement without touching the tiles

Think about the hose that goes with it: Toilet bidet sprayer with coiled hose and wall holder fits on the same thread.

Replacing it without breaking the tiles

Replacing it without breaking the tiles

It is replaced on the existing eccentrics, without touching the tiles. The centre-distance adjustment is done precisely by these eccentrics, which take up a centimetre or two.

On a shower installation, maintenance comes down to limescale. A descaled hose and clear nozzles restore the original pressure — this is almost always where the impression of a weakening shower comes from.

In the same spirit, Soft Rain Shower Head completes the installation.

What makes the difference

A zamak body with a simple chrome plating: the finish flakes off and the metal pits underneath.

Our answer

A brass body, the benchmark material for taps: it does not rust and withstands hot water without warping.

Finding out at installation that the drilling does not match.

Our answer

The installation type is stated on the product page before you buy, here 3 holes.

Which finishes are available?
This model comes in 4 finishes: Black, Grey, Chrome and Gold.
How do I look after it?
A soft cloth and soapy water are enough. Avoid any acidic or chlorine-based product: that's what dulls a matt black coating.
Can I send it back?
You have 30 days to send it back, no need to give a reason.
How soon will it be delivered?
It ships within 24 hours for any order placed before 6 pm, and arrives within 7 to 9 working days in the UK.
Are taps easy to install yourself?

Most of our models are designed to be easy to fit yourself, with clear instructions and standard tools. For some of the more complex models, it may be advisable to call in a professional.

What should I do if my tap starts to leak?

If your tap starts to leak, first check whether the problem comes from the seals or the cartridge. These parts can wear over time and are easy to replace. If the problem persists, contact our customer service team for help or to claim under the guarantee, if applicable.
