A round head with a double zone

A round head with a double zone

The round chrome head is 9 cm in diameter, for a total length of 27 cm. Its face combines two zones: in the centre, a disc of micro-nozzles; around it, a ring of wider oval nozzles.

The photos show four types of spray obtained by turning the head: a wide rain, a finer, softer spray, a mixed spray and a spray from the ring alone. Switching from one mode to another is done with one hand.

The body is chrome-plated plastic, which keeps the handset light even at arm's length.

The stop button and the visible filter

The stop button and the visible filter

Under the head, a square button marked “stop” sits exactly under the thumb. One press cuts the water at the handset, another restarts it: handy for soaping up without upsetting the mixer settings.

Lower down, a transparent window on the face of the handle shows a blue element inside: this is the filter announced in the title. The supplier does not state its nature or what it retains; we therefore attribute no guaranteed effect to it. The window at least lets you check its appearance without taking the handle apart.

Installation and who it suits

Installation and who it suits

The handset screws by hand onto the end of a shower hose, with the seal in place. One lifestyle photo shows it resting in an angled wall holder above a countertop basin, another in a shower with a rail.

It is aimed at those who want several sprays and a stop button on a limited budget, without changing their mixer. With its stop button, it also suits children learning to shower on their own.

Rinse the face with clean water after use and run a soft cloth over the chrome. Remember to check the filter through the window in the handle.

What makes the difference

Calling a plumber to upgrade your shower.

Our answer

A standard 1/2″ thread: it screws on by hand in five minutes, with no need to shut off the water at the meter.

A harsh jet that hits one spot and leaves your back cold.

Our answer

A wide spray area: at the same flow rate, the water covers your shoulders.

Limescale-clogged holes that can no longer be cleared.

Our answer

Soft nubs that clean with a swipe of the finger.

A heavy head that's a chore to hold when rinsing a child.

Our answer

A weight you can hold at arm's length, even with one hand.

Receiving just the one part, and having to order the rest elsewhere.
