A kitchen tap is chosen on spout height and reach. A high spout lets you fill a pan; a 360° swivel spout is useful when the sink has two bowls. Also check the clearance under the window if the sink sits in front of an opening.

Installing it on an existing sink

It fits on the existing sink: turn off the supplies, remove the old tap, pass the hoses through and tighten from below. Have a basin wrench to hand, as the space under a sink is always tighter than it looks.

In the kitchen, the aerator decides everyday comfort. Unscrewed and left for an hour in warm white vinegar each quarter, it regains its flow without anything else needing to be taken apart.
