A sprayer to rinse everything

A sprayer to rinse everything

The photos of this black sprayer focus on its jet: dense and pressurised, it is used for intimate hygiene but also for all the cleaning around the toilet. It is shown rinsing the inside of the pan, a floor drain, tile corners and a brush holder.

You hold it in your whole hand, trigger under your fingers; released, it cuts the jet.

It is made of ABS, a rigid plastic: light in the hand, and it will not rust. Its angled head sends the jet forward, in line with the hand.

On the wall, in black

In the installation photo, the sprayer sits on a black holder fixed to the wall by a rectangular plate. Its coiled hose drops in loops and joins a small isolation valve, also black, marked by a blue ring.

The all-black set matches a control plate or dark taps, and stays legible on light as well as dark tiles.

The stated connection is 1/2″ (15x21), the usual size of sprayer hoses. In this photo, the sprayer stands head up, trigger facing outwards, ready to be grabbed in one hand.

Connection and precautions

Connection and precautions

To supply it from the toilet supply, you need a dedicated outlet: a 3-way tap screws onto the supply and shares the water between the cistern and the sprayer. As a toilet supply is often 3/8″ (12x17), a reducing bush completes the adaptation if needed.

The water that comes out is then cold mains water. Close the isolation valve between uses: the sprayer is no longer under pressure and does not drip.

An occasional soak of the nozzle in white vinegar rids it of limescale. No hose stretched across the room: the coiled hose tidies itself away.
