A dial instead of a lever

A dial instead of a lever

Most shower mixers are set with a lever on top. This one carries a cylindrical dial at the right-hand end, with a notched relief for grip, ringed with a red and blue band: you turn it towards red for hotter, towards blue for colder.

Under the body, a flat paddle projects forwards, next to the threaded outlet where the hose screws on. The whole keeps a very horizontal line, with no handle sticking out above: nothing catches a towel or a flannel.

A flat, chrome body

A flat, chrome body

The body is a wide, flat block in gloss chrome, fixed to the wall between two round rosettes. Its clean edges go with a rectangular handset and a square shower rail, as in the in-situ photo.

The supplier states a brass body under the chrome. For upkeep, soapy water and a microfibre cloth are enough; the notches of the dial sometimes hold a little limescale, which an old toothbrush and diluted white vinegar dislodge without scratching the chrome. Then dry with a cloth to keep all the shine.

With or without a handset?

With or without a handset?

One photo shows the mixer installed with a shower rail and a rectangular handset. The other photos show only the mixer, and the supplier's description lists no accessory. Before counting on the handset or the rail, write to us: customer service answers Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm.

As for fitting, it screws onto two wall inlets, hot and cold. The outlet underneath takes a hose with a 1/2″ (15x21) nut, the standard size. If your inlets are already there, the replacement needs no drilling or chasing.

What makes the difference

A zamak body with a simple chrome plating: the finish flakes off and the metal pits underneath.

Our answer

A brass body, the benchmark material for taps: it does not rust and withstands hot water without warping.

Finding out at installation that the drilling does not match.

Our answer

The installation type is stated on the product page before you buy, here wall-mounted.

Is the handset included?
It appears in a lifestyle photo, but the supplier lists no accessories: contact us for confirmation before ordering.
How do you set the temperature?
With the notched dial at the end of the body, marked by a red and blue ring.
Is it thermostatic?
Nothing indicates it: the dial has no visible temperature graduation, so treat it as a standard mixer.
Which hose should I connect?
A hose with a 1/2″ (15x21) nut, whichever handset you choose.
Are taps easy to install yourself?

Most of our models are designed to be easy to fit yourself, with clear instructions and standard tools. For some of the more complex models, it may be advisable to call in a professional.

What should I do if my tap starts to leak?

If your tap starts to leak, first check whether the problem comes from the seals or the cartridge. These parts can wear over time and are easy to replace. If the problem persists, contact our customer service team for help or to claim under the guarantee, if applicable.
