Wall-mounted shower head holder

The photo labelled “90°” shows the principle: the handset placed in the cradle can be tilted from vertical to horizontal, through all the intermediate positions. You choose the angle of the spray to shower hands-free.

The cradle is mounted between two round pivots, visible at the top and bottom of the holder; it tilts around them.

It takes the handle of ordinary handheld showers, set in its open groove. Once the angle is found, the handset stays in position, ready for the next shower. It's handy for soaping up with both hands free, or for adjusting a child's spray without holding it.

The dimensioned diagram gives a plate 120 mm high by 80 mm wide, and a holder 55 mm wide. The plate, larger than the holder itself, spreads the load over the wall.

Three versions are offered. The black is matt, plate included. The chrome and grey versions are mounted on a transparent plate, which disappears against light tiles.

The supplier states an ABS plastic holder. The black version goes with matt black tapware, the chrome with a glossy mixer, the grey with a bathroom in concrete tones.

The photos show a flat plate, with no visible screws, applied to the wall: it corresponds to an adhesive fixing. The supplier does not detail the fixing method; if you plan to drill, check on delivery whether the plate allows it.

If glued, the rule stays the same: smooth, clean, dry surface, firm pressure over the whole plate, then a waiting time before putting the handset on it.

Avoid grout lines and textured surfaces, and clean the holder with soapy water, without abrasive products. Place it at a height where everyone can reach the handset without standing on tiptoe.
