A tap that disappears into the wall

A tap that disappears into the wall

Here, the mechanism is not seen. The tap body, brass in the contents photo, hides in the partition; at the front, all that remains is a square rosette, a plate-shaped lever and the sprayer holder.

The hose drops below the lever and forms a loop under the set, as in the front-view photo.

It is a model for a newly refitted bathroom or a toilet being renovated, where you want a clean finish with no visible pipe or tap. The square rosette hides the opening cut in the wall.

A square sprayer with a clean jet

A square sprayer with a clean jet

The sprayer picks up the square design of the lever: rectangular section, flat head pierced with nozzles, trigger folded under the handle.

Two photos show it in hand: press, and the water leaves in a continuous jet; release, and it stops. Put away, it stands vertical against the wall.

Everything is chrome, from the lever to the hose: the set matches square basin or shower taps, and reflects the light in a small room. Its straight shape, with no curves, sets it apart from classic pistol sprayers. It is put away in one movement on its holder, next to the lever.

Installation and contents

Installation and contents

The body is built into the wall and connected to the water supply before the tiling or panelling goes on: plan this step in a renovation, or leave it to a plumber.

The packaging photo shows the brass body, the lever, the square rosette, the holder, the sprayer, the hose, wall plugs and screws, and two fitting spanners.

On the connection side, it is stated as 1/2″ (15x21). Pushing the lever down as soon as the sprayer is put back relieves the hose of pressure: not a drop escapes. Once fitting is finished, the tiles go right up against the rosette.

A zamak body with a simple chrome plating: the finish flakes off and the metal pits underneath.

Our answer

A stainless steel body: immune to corrosion, it keeps its look despite constant contact with water.

Finding out at installation that the drilling does not match.

The installation type is stated on the product page before you buy, here wall-mounted.
