A handheld shower, not a fixed head

A handheld shower, not a fixed head

This model is a handheld shower: a long handle, a round head at the top and a connector at the bottom for the hose. The photos show it connected to a metal hose.

The head is mounted on a ball joint: the arrow in the third photo shows its rotation. You can angle it without changing your grip, which is handy for rinsing your back or the tray.

The top of the handle and the rim of the head have a copper trim, which sets it apart from all-chrome handsets. The white version in the first photo is not offered as an option: only the chrome finish is available.

The button that stops the water

The button that stops the water

On the handle, below the head, a round button marked “on/off” lets you stop the flow without touching the mixer. You soap up with the water off, then restart it at the same temperature.

This simple action helps cut down on water wasted during your shower: the supplier gives no savings figure, but the water only runs when you need it.

The supplier's photos mention a boosted spray. If your pressure is low, it is the hose and mixer that set the flow rate: a shower handset does not create pressure.

Installation and care

Installation and care

The connector is 1/2″ (15x21), the standard size for shower hoses. Unscrew the old handset, check that the washer is seated in the hose nut and screw the new one on by hand.

The body is stated to be chrome-plated ABS. To stop limescale building up, run hot then cold water over it after your shower and wipe the head dry.

If the nozzles become clogged with limescale, soak the head in warm white vinegar for an hour, then rinse. After each vinegar soak, let the water run for a few seconds before showering to flush out any loosened deposits. If water leaks at the connector, it is almost always because the washer in the nut is misplaced or missing.

Is it a fixed head or a handset?
A handset: it screws onto the end of a hose and is held by its handle.
What is the button on the handle for?
It shuts off and restarts the water right from the handset, without changing the mixer setting.
Is it compatible with my hose?
Yes if your hose has a 1/2″ (15x21) nut, the French standard.
Is the hose included?
It appears in the first photo, but the supplier doesn't advertise it. Assume you receive the handset alone.
Are taps easy to install yourself?

Most of our models are designed to be easy to fit yourself, with clear instructions and standard tools. For some of the more complex models, it may be advisable to call in a professional.

What should I do if my tap starts to leak?

If your tap starts to leak, first check whether the problem comes from the seals or the cartridge. These parts can wear over time and are easy to replace. If the problem persists, contact our customer service team for help or to claim under the guarantee, if applicable.
