Choosing the right size

Choosing the right size

This 3-way tap comes in versions to suit your supply. The photos show it in detail: at the top, a female nut in G3/8, G1/2, G3/4 or G7/8; at the bottom, a male outlet of the same size, which goes on to the cistern; on the side, a male 1/2″ outlet, identical on all versions.

The French standard for a toilet supply is most often 3/8″ (12x17): that is generally the size to choose.

If in doubt, unscrew the hose from your cistern and look at its thread, or measure it, before choosing.

The side outlet for the sprayer

The side outlet for the sprayer

The side outlet, 1/2″ (15x21), matches the usual thread of a handset hose: the sprayer screws straight onto it, without an adapter.

A photo shows it in place under a toilet pan, at the end of a braided hose: the tap fits in without changing anything else. Simply close the supply, unscrew, insert the tap and screw back.

The water feeding the sprayer is that of the toilet supply, in other words cold water. The body stays straight, in line with the supply, which makes it hard to see behind the pan. The sprayer outlet leaves from the side, opposite the handle.

Control and care

Control and care

A round knob on the front carries a stem handle pointing down: this controls the water. Close it after each use, so the sprayer is not left under pressure and does not drip.

The body is stated as stainless steel, chrome finish. Wipe it from time to time; for white deposits, a cloth soaked in white vinegar, then a rinse with clear water.

If your supply has an unusual size, our customer service, reachable Monday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm, will help you choose.

What makes the difference

Receiving just the one part, and having to order the rest elsewhere.

Our answer
  • 1 stainless steel 3-way tap

A zamak body with a simple chrome plating: the finish flakes off and the metal pits underneath.

Our answer

A stainless steel body: immune to corrosion, it keeps its look despite constant contact with water.

What size should I choose?
The one of your supply's thread. In France, that is most often 3/8″ for a toilet.
Does the handset outlet change with the size?
No, the side outlet stays 1/2″ on all four versions.
Do I need a plumber?
Not necessarily: if you know how to shut off the supply and screw on a hose, the tap fits between the supply and the cistern.
Is it stainless steel?
Yes, it is declared as stainless steel with a chrome finish.
Are taps easy to install yourself?

Most of our models are designed to be easy to fit yourself, with clear instructions and standard tools. For some of the more complex models, it may be advisable to call in a professional.

What should I do if my tap starts to leak?

If your tap starts to leak, first check whether the problem comes from the seals or the cartridge. These parts can wear over time and are easy to replace. If the problem persists, contact our customer service team for help or to claim under the guarantee, if applicable.
