Small, flat and made of metal

Small, flat and made of metal

This handset is made of a square 8 cm plate and a slim handle, 22.5 cm long overall. The face is flat, pierced with nozzles in regular rows; seen from behind, the plate forms a pyramid shape, like a diamond point.

The supplier declares polished stainless steel. It is one of the least expensive handsets in our range, and one of the most discreet: it takes up almost no room on a holder and does not steal the show from a column or an overhead shower.

Chrome or black

Chrome or black

The light version is a mirror chrome: the plate and handle reflect the light, and the brass-coloured threaded tip shows at the bottom of the handle. The colour option is called “Brushed stainless steel”, but the photos clearly show a shiny polished finish.

The black version is matt from the plate to the tip. One photo shows it fitted on a black column, where it completes the taps without any change of shade.

Both versions have exactly the same shape and dimensions; only the price changes slightly depending on the finish.

Where to use it and how to fit it

Where to use it and how to fit it

It works as a spare handset on an existing column, a back-up handset above a bath, or an economical replacement when the old one leaks. The supplier describes it as an insert fitting: it slides into the holder of your rail or column.

Simply screw it by hand onto the end of the hose, with the seal in place. One spray, no buttons: everything is set at the mixer.

For upkeep, use a soft cloth on the chrome or black, and run your thumb over the nozzles from time to time.

What makes the difference

Calling a plumber to upgrade your shower.

Our answer

A standard 1/2″ thread: it screws on by hand in five minutes, with no need to shut off the water at the meter.

A harsh jet that hits one spot and leaves your back cold.

Our answer

A wide spray area: at the same flow rate, the water covers your shoulders.

Limescale-clogged holes that can no longer be cleared.

Our answer

Soft nubs that clean with a swipe of the finger.

A heavy head that's a chore to hold when rinsing a child.

Our answer

A weight you can hold at arm's length, even with one hand.

Receiving just the one part, and having to order the rest elsewhere.
