A 21 cm tube rather than a round head

This handset drops the wide head for a straight cylinder: 21 cm long, 3 cm in diameter according to the dimensioned photo. The water comes out through a strip of grey nubs set on one side of the tube, near the end.

This format suits a walk-in shower with a clean-lined style, a small tray where a big head gets in the way, or anyone who wants precise rinsing: hair, feet, walls, a dog in the tray.

The body is shiny chrome in the photos; it is held in your full hand, with no shape to get used to.

Alone or as a set: what changes

The “Shower head” version is the bare handset, threaded at the bottom: it replaces an existing handset on your current hose.

The “Handheld shower set with holder” version adds, according to the photos, an 8.5 cm angled wall holder with two DN15 1/2″ connectors (one water inlet, one outlet to the hose), a 150 cm ringed hose with G1/2 ends and seals. It is the option for creating a handheld shower point on a wall outlet, for example above a bath or in a back-up shower.

Installation and care

The handset alone screws by hand onto the hose, with the seal in place, with no tools or plumber. The set's holder, however, connects to a wall water outlet threaded 1/2″: if your wall does not have one, plumbing work is needed.

The nubs are rubber: when the water is hard, a pass of the thumb over the strip is enough to dislodge the white deposits. For the tube, use a soft cloth and soapy water; avoid abrasive sponges that would scratch the chrome.

The set's angled holder comes apart in two parts, which lets you change a worn seal without removing anything from the wall.

Which version should I choose?
The handset alone if you already have a hose in good condition; the set if you are starting from a wall outlet with nothing on it, since it brings the angled holder and the hose.
Will it fit my hose?
Yes, if your hose is the standard 1/2″ (15x21), the usual French standard: it is the thread visible at the bottom of the tube.
How many spray modes?
Just one: the spray through the strip of nubs. It is not a multi-function handset.
Does limescale block the holes?
The tips are soft: rub them with a finger under the water to knock off the deposit before it hardens.
Are taps easy to install yourself?
