Silicone Draining Mat

On a kitchen accessory, the material decides everything: it determines what goes in the dishwasher, what keeps odours and what scratches on first use. Food-grade silicone and stainless steel are the two safe bets.

Between two models, dimensions and stability decide: an accessory that slides around on the worktop ends up at the bottom of a drawer.

• Silicone body
• Food-grade material, no taste transfer
• Dishwasher safe unless stated otherwise
• Stable base, so it does not slide on the worktop
• Stores flat in a drawer

To complete the sink, MaxiCompost Sink Strainer Basket goes in without tools.

Washing in hot soapy water after each use is enough in most cases. Avoid abrasive powders, which permanently scratch stainless steel and silicone.

A well-chosen accessory is recognisable by this: you no longer put it away. Check the dimensions against where it will live; that is what separates the object that gets used from the one that ends up at the back of a cupboard.

In the same spirit, Long Spout Kitchen Mixer Tap completes the installation.
