Shower System with Thermostat

This chrome shower system is square everywhere: square-section tube, right-angled arm, square rain head and a handset with flat edges. It suits rectangular tiles and a basin with sharp corners.

The mixer is a thermostatic bar fixed at the bottom of the tube. The supplier describes it as keeping the temperature stable: set it once and the water stays at the same heat throughout the shower.

The ‘Corrosion resistant’ photo shows the nozzle face of the shower head and its smooth chrome back.

The ‘Suits everyone’ board shows that the handset moves up or down the tube. Its bracket swivels through 360° and locks with a button, so you can aim it at your back, face or legs.

The rain head tilts by 15°, so tall users don't get the water straight in the face.

A family of different heights is well served without changing any kit: everyone puts the handset back at their own height in one movement.

The dimensioned drawing gives a 343 mm arm and a rain head about 197 mm square. The column mounts on the wall, on hot and cold supplies. Replacing a unit on existing supplies is within reach of a keen DIYer, but a new installation calls for a plumber.

Care: soapy water and a soft cloth on the chrome, never scouring powder.
