A retro design, all in curves

A retro design, all in curves

This wall-mounted tap does not look like today's square mixers. Two curved arms leave the wall to join the central body, topped with a fluted dome and a teardrop-shaped curved lever. The polished chrome highlights every curve.

It suits a period bathroom, with cement tiles, panelling or a cast-iron bath, but also a renovation that wants to keep a classic nod. Its silhouette is recognisable at first glance, and it is what sets the tone for the room. Chrome reflects the light and goes with silver accessories.

One lever, one spout and a hose outlet

One lever, one spout and a hose outlet

Despite its old-fashioned look, it is a mixer: a single lever at the top of the body. You lift it to open, turn it left or right to warm or cool the water. The temperature is set by hand; it is not a thermostatic.

In the photos, the body has a spout at the front and a threaded outlet underneath, to screw on the hose of a handset. A rod under the body, the diverter pull, switches the water from one to the other. The hose and handset do not appear in the contents: allow for them.

What's in the box and how to fit it

What's in the box and how to fit it

The exploded photo shows the tap, two eccentric connectors, two chrome rosettes and two seals. The body is stated to be brass, with a 1/2″ (15x21) connection.

The tap fits onto two water inlets that come out of the wall, hot and cold. The eccentrics screw into these inlets, with PTFE tape or hemp, and take up a few millimetres of gap between them; the rosettes then hide the thread. On an existing installation, a DIYer can manage; if the inlets need to be created, call a plumber. Remember to check for leaks with hot water as well as cold.

What makes the difference

Receiving just the one part, and having to order the rest elsewhere.

Our answer

  • 2 seals

A zamak body with a simple chrome plating: the finish flakes off and the metal pits underneath.

Our answer

A brass body, the benchmark material for taps: it does not rust and withstands hot water without warping.

Finding out at installation that the drilling does not match.

Our answer

The installation type is stated on the product page before you buy, here wall-mounted.

+33 7 56 88 18 90 Write to us
Is it thermostatic?
No, it's a lever mixer: you set the temperature by hand.
Is the handset included?
No, the contents show the tap, two eccentric connectors, two rosettes and two seals; handset and hose need to be bought separately.
Can it replace my old wall tap?
Yes if it's connected to two 1/2″ wall supplies; the eccentric connectors take up a small difference. Measure the spacing between your supplies and write to us if in doubt.
Do I need to drill?
It screws onto the existing water supplies; no additional wall fixing appears in the contents.
Are taps easy to install yourself?

Most of our models are designed to be easy to fit yourself, with clear instructions and standard tools. For some of the more complex models, it may be advisable to call in a professional.

What should I do if my tap starts to leak?

If your tap starts to leak, first check whether the problem comes from the seals or the cartridge. These parts can wear over time and are easy to replace. If the problem persists, contact our customer service team for help or to claim under the guarantee, if applicable.
