Nubs that stand out from the tube

Nubs that stand out from the tube

The close-up is unmistakable: the nozzles are not small dots flush with the surface, but long, conical white nubs that stand proud of the gold. They are grouped at the top of the tube, on one face only.

This shape has a practical benefit: each nub is isolated from its neighbours, and a swipe of the finger is enough to lift the limescale clinging to it, without scratching the metal.

The spray comes from this small area; you aim it simply by turning your wrist. The resulting spray stays concentrated, useful for rinsing a zone or the shower tray precisely.

A very fine gold line

A very fine gold line

The diagram gives 210 mm long. The tube is slim and regular, in a satin brushed gold, interrupted only by the nub zone at the top and the thread at the bottom.

In the lifestyle photo, it stands upright in a gold ring holder, at the end of a gold hose: a pencil silhouette against a grey wall.

Stainless steel is the material stated by the supplier. This model differs from our Luxe Or in its protruding nubs and greater length. Its slimness makes it an elegant piece in a walk-in shower in neutral tones.

Installation

Installation

The gold end piece is marked G1/2: it screws by hand onto the nut of a standard shower hose (1/2″, i.e. 15x21). Remember the flat washer in the nut; no tools are needed.

Its small diameter makes it a good companion for round-ring holders; in a large cradle made for a classic handset, it could have some play.

Only the shower head is stated. To care for the gold, use a soft cloth and soapy water, with no acidic products. If the thread seeps after fitting, check the washer rather than tightening further.

What makes the difference

Receiving just the one part, and having to order the rest elsewhere.

Our answer
  • 1 gold stick-style shower head

A zamak body with a simple chrome plating: the finish flakes off and the metal pits underneath.

Our answer

A stainless steel body: immune to corrosion, it keeps its look despite constant contact with water.

What are the long nubs for?
They're the water outlet nozzles. Well spaced apart, they're easy to rub with a finger to clear limescale.
How long is it?
210 mm, according to the dimensioned photo.
What's the difference from the Luxe Gold?
This one is longer and its nubs stick out of the tube; the Luxe Gold (200 mm) has a recessed window of flat nubs.
Are the hose and holder included?
No, only the shower head is mentioned. Our customer service replies Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm, to help you choose matching parts.
Are taps easy to install yourself?

Most of our models are designed to be easy to fit yourself, with clear instructions and standard tools. For some of the more complex models, it may be advisable to call in a professional.

What should I do if my tap starts to leak?

If your tap starts to leak, first check whether the problem comes from the seals or the cartridge. These parts can wear over time and are easy to replace. If the problem persists, contact our customer service team for help or to claim under the guarantee, if applicable.
