A panel instead of a shower column

A panel instead of a shower column

No rail or visible tube: everything fits in a flat panel 115 cm high and 19.5 cm wide, whose top curves towards you to form the overhead shower head. The diagram gives 47.5 cm in length for this upper part.

The water supplies run behind the plate, so all you see is the smooth front, the two round knobs and the handset hung on the side. The supplier states an aluminium body and use without electricity: nothing to plug in, no socket or transformer. It is a choice that turns an ordinary shower into a wellness corner, without redoing the whole cubicle.

Rain, massage, handset

Rain, massage, handset

The top of the panel sprays like a rain shower head. Lower down, two rows of small nozzles are pierced in the front: one at back and shoulder height, the other nearer the legs. They project the water horizontally, hence the massage effect.

Between the two zones, two round knobs control everything, and the 20 cm handset unhooks from its holder for rinsing or cleaning. Its hose measures 143 cm according to the diagram. With modest pressure, feeding several outlets at once reduces the force of each: it is better to use them one at a time.

Brushed stainless steel, black or white

Brushed stainless steel, black or white

The photos show the three versions side by side. Brushed stainless steel keeps a light metal look and hides drops well; black makes a dark column effect against marble or light tiles; white blends into an all-white shower.

For installation, the panel is fixed to the wall and connected to the water supplies placed behind it: allow for a plumber if the outlets are not in the right place. For care, wipe the front with a soft cloth and rub the nozzles with a fingertip if limescale builds up.

What makes the difference

A shower that only wets your head and shoulders.

Our answer

Massage jets aimed at the back and lower back, adjustable one by one.

Buying the mixer, the rail and the shower head separately and hoping they match.

Our answer

A complete set: everything arrives matching, in the same finish, with the fixings included.

Breaking into the tiles to conceal the tap.

Our answer

Surface-mounted installation on the two existing outlets: no chasing, nothing to make good.

A fixed shower head that aims at your head and nothing else.

Our answer

A rain shower head that covers the shoulders, paired with an adjustable handset.

Turning the water off to change outlet, then setting the temperature again every time.

Our answer

A diverter that switches from one outlet to the other without touching the mix.
