High-Pressure Gold Shower Head

The finish is a matt brushed gold with soft reflections, which you also find on the holder and hose in the lifestyle photo. It avoids the jewellery look of polished gold and goes with brass or brushed gold taps and fittings.

On a white background, the nubs appear light beige, raised, on the upper part of the face. This contrast has a practical side: you see at once if a nozzle is clogging.

The supplier states a stainless steel body under this finish. Against a glass screen or white tiles, this gold piece becomes the eye-catching point in the shower.

The dimensioned photo gives 205 mm long by 45 mm wide. The shower head is rectangular but not angular: its edges are softened and the side is slightly rounded, which makes it pleasant to hold.

It has the same silhouette as our black high-pressure shower head: only the colour changes, to follow the rest of the bathroom. The 45 mm width gives a firm grip, even for a large hand, without the shower head looking bulky.

Fitting is done by hand: screw the hose nut onto the 1/2″ (15x21) end piece, flat washer in place, with no tools. If your current hose is chrome, consider replacing it to keep the shower consistent; neither hose nor holder is included.

For care, use lukewarm soapy water and a soft cloth. Acidic limescale removers and scouring sponges damage gold finishes.

Against limescale, rub the nubs with a fingertip under the water: recent deposits come off without any product. Once a week, a pass with a dry microfibre cloth is enough to keep the brushed finish even.
