High-Pressure Black Shower Head

The dimensioned photo gives 205 mm high by 45 mm wide. It is a rectangular handset, but its edges are rounded: seen from the side, the edge is domed and the hand meets no sharp corner.

The grille takes up the whole top of the face, with about fifty raised black nubs. The bottom of the handle is smooth, down to the threaded end.

In the wall photo, the spray comes out in a regular fan, the shower head hanging on a square black holder. Its 45 mm width gives a slightly more generous spray area than a slim rod, while staying compact.

The body, face and nubs are all black: nothing stands out. This approach goes well with a black mixer, a screen with black profiles or a black shower system, and avoids the pale patch of a grey grille.

The supplier states a stainless steel body, covered with this dark finish.

One precaution: on matt black, limescale water leaves white marks as it dries. A quick wipe after showering makes them disappear; avoid abrasive sponges and acidic products, however, which dull the colour.

The end piece is marked G1/2 in the photo: this is the 1/2″ thread of shower hoses (15x21). It screws by hand onto the hose, flat washer in place, with no spanner or plumber.

As the outlet surface is smaller than that of a large round head, the water is spread over fewer nozzles: the spray holds up well, even in a home with average pressure.
