High-Pressure Anti-Limescale Chrome Handset

The design is pared back to the essentials: a thin square plate with rounded corners, at the end of a tube handle. In the photos, the metal has a light satin look, closer to brushed steel than to a mirror chrome.

The face carries five or six rows of dark nubs, evenly spaced. No button, no spray selector: you turn on the tap and the water comes out as one dense rain spray, as in the photo taken in hand.

The supplier states it is stainless steel and describes it as high-pressure and anti-limescale.

The nubs on the face are raised: when a little limescale settles on them, simply rub them with your fingertips during the shower to clear it. This is the principle of so-called anti-limescale shower heads.

The supplier also mentions an anti-limescale coating and an invigorating pressure. We cannot guarantee a figure: the feel of the spray depends first of all on your mains pressure. A single-spray plate does, however, concentrate all the water on a small area, giving a firmer spray than a large rain head.

The handle ends in a 1/2 connector, the standard for shower hoses, also known as 15x21. Screw it by hand onto your existing hose, with its washer, no tools or plumber needed.

It rests on a round wall holder or on a shower rail; the lifestyle photo shows it in an angled holder fixed to the wall. It suits replacing a tired handset, for a spare shower or a rental, when you want a clean result without any building work.

A soft cloth is enough to keep the metal shiny.
