An exposed column in brushed gold

An exposed column in brushed gold

This column is surface-mounted: the whole body stays visible on the wall. A long square tube rises from the mixer to an angled arm that carries a square shower head, flat above your head.

The finish is a brushed gold, matt and slightly satin, applied to every part: tubes, mixer, hand shower and escutcheons. Against sage green, white or concrete tiles, it becomes the eye-catching element in the bathroom.

The hand shower is also square, with a cylindrical handle, and rests on a sliding holder fixed to the tube.

Mixer, diverter and downward spout

Mixer, diverter and downward spout

The mixer is operated by a flat lever on top: you set flow and temperature in a single movement, by hand. On its front face, a round dial acts as a diverter to send the water to the shower head, the hand shower or the spout.

The rectangular spout, under the body, makes all the difference compared with a standard shower column: it fills a bath or a cleaning bucket, or rinses feet, without wetting the whole room.

This setup therefore suits a shower, but also a bath where you want to keep a real filling spout.

What the package contains and how to install it

What the package contains and how to install it

The flat-lay package photo shows the square shower head, the gold hose, the mixer with its spout, the large angled tube, the hand shower, its holder, two connectors, two square escutcheons and a bag of washers and wall plugs.

The mixer screws onto two wall supplies, hot and cold water; the connectors and their escutcheons take up the gap and hide the threads. The tube is then fixed to the wall by a clamp: one or two holes in the tiles.

On supplies already in place, an experienced DIYer can do it; otherwise, leave it to a plumber.

A zamak body with a simple chrome plating: the finish flakes off and the metal pits underneath.

Our answer

A brass body, the benchmark material for taps: it does not rust and withstands hot water without warping.

Finding out at installation that the drilling does not match.

Is this shower column built into the wall?
No: in the photos it is surface-mounted. Only the water supplies are in the wall; the mixer, tubes and shower head stay visible.
Can it be used over a bath?
Yes, that is its strong point: the spout under the mixer fills the bath.
Is the mixer thermostatic?
The photos show a single-lever mixer with a diverter dial: you set the temperature by hand.
How do I keep brushed gold clean?
A soft cloth and soapy water, then wipe dry. No scouring pad or harsh descaler on the gilded finish.
Are taps easy to install yourself?

Most of our models are designed to be easy to fit yourself, with clear instructions and standard tools. For some of the more complex models, it may be advisable to call in a professional.

What should I do if my tap starts to leak?

If your tap starts to leak, first check whether the problem comes from the seals or the cartridge. These parts can wear over time and are easy to replace. If the problem persists, contact our customer service team for help or to claim under the guarantee, if applicable.
