A data sheet written in black and white

A data sheet written in black and white

The supplier's photos give the dimensions: 254 mm diameter round shower head, 406 mm arm, 235 mm handset, 1,500 mm hose and 185 mm round plate. The thread is G 1/2″, i.e. the common 15x21 of shower heads and hoses.

The maximum flow stated is 6.7 L/min, and the whole set weighs 2.9 kg.

Enough to check, tape measure in hand, that the arm won't touch the glass screen and that the shower head falls right above the shower area. These figures spare you the nasty surprise of an arm too long for a narrow shower.

Round shapes in brushed gold

Round shapes in brushed gold

Everything here is round: the shower head, the plate, the arm's rose. The brushed gold finish is matt and satin, softer than a shiny gold; it goes with beige tiles, lime plaster or a lit niche, as in the photos.

On the plate, a lever sets the temperature and flow by hand, and a central handle chooses the outlet: rain shower head or handset.

The slim handset, with a rectangular head, rests on a gold wall elbow that also serves as the water outlet.

Concealed fitting, brass for the body

Concealed fitting, brass for the body

The valve body, stated as brass, sits inside the partition behind the round plate. The supplies for the arm and the handset elbow also run through the wall. It is therefore installed during renovation, before tiling, and a plumber is recommended.

Once fitted, only the plate, the arm, the shower head and the handset remain visible.

To keep the brushed gold intact, a soft cloth and soapy water are enough; avoid acidic descalers and scouring sponges. While the wall is open, have the pressure checked: a 254 mm rain shower head needs a decent flow to cover its whole surface.

What makes the difference

Buying the mixer, the rail and the shower head separately and hoping they match.

Our answer

A complete set: everything arrives matching, in the same finish, with the fixings included.

Breaking into the tiles to conceal the tap.

Our answer

Surface-mounted installation on the two existing outlets: no chasing, nothing to make good.

A fixed shower head that aims at your head and nothing else.

Our answer

A rain shower head that covers the shoulders, paired with an adjustable handset.

Turning the water off to change outlet, then setting the temperature again every time.

Our answer

A diverter that switches from one outlet to the other without touching the mix.

Metal nozzles that clog with limescale and end up being cleared with a needle.

Our answer

Soft silicone nozzles: a swipe of the thumb lifts off limescale.
