A fold-down tap answers a precise constraint: a sink placed in front of a window that opens. It lies down to free the sash. The measurement to check is the height available once folded, not the height in use.

It fits a standard tap hole. Always fold it down with the tap off: folding it while the water runs tires the cartridge and eventually causes a weep.

In the kitchen, the aerator decides everyday comfort. Unscrewed and left for an hour in warm white vinegar each quarter, it regains its flow without anything else needing to be taken apart.

Can I fit it in place of my old one?
It fits as a single-hole tap: one hole, the one your basin or worktop already has. The old tap comes out, this one takes its place.
