A square plate that makes water fall vertically

A square plate that makes water fall vertically

The plate is square and very thin, pierced with a regular grid of nozzles over its whole surface. Mounted at the end of the arm, it sits horizontally above the head: the water falls straight, as rain, onto the shoulders and back rather than in a directed jet.

The size is chosen to suit the cubicle. The 20 cm suits a narrow shower or a bath; the 25 cm covers an adult well; the 30 cm gives the widest rain, best kept for a walk-in shower where the water can spread without wetting the door.

Black, chrome or gold, from rosette to plate

Black, chrome or gold, from rosette to plate

In the photos, the finish runs through the whole set: wall rosette, arm, elbow and plate are the same shade. Matt black goes with black taps and light tiles, chrome remains the safe bet, gold goes with gilded accessories or a dark wall.

The seller states the plate is stainless steel. It has no moving part or jet setting: it is a fixed rain head. To rinse your hair without getting fully wet or to clean the screen, keep a handheld shower as a complement.

What to allow for when fitting

What to allow for when fitting

The arm measures 40 cm and ends at both ends with a G1/2″ thread, the common 15x21. It is fixed to the wall by a screwed rosette: plugs and screws are in the photo of the contents, so you need to drill the tiles.

The kit also shows a 1.5 m hose and a small wall elbow that connect the arm to your water inlet or your mixer. If the inlet already comes out high on the wall, fitting is within reach of a DIYer; if it has to be created, call a plumber.

For upkeep, a microfibre cloth and a little diluted vinegar on the grid are enough.

What makes the difference

Receiving just the one part, and having to order the rest elsewhere.

A zamak body with a simple chrome plating: the finish flakes off and the metal pits underneath.

Our answer

A stainless steel body: immune to corrosion, it keeps its look despite constant contact with water.

Finding out at installation that the drilling does not match.

Our answer

The installation type is stated on the product page before you buy, here wall-mounted.

What size should I choose?
20 cm for a small cubicle or a bath, 25 cm for a standard shower, 30 cm for a spacious walk-in shower.
Is the shower arm included?
Yes: the contents photo shows the 40 cm arm, the head, a 1.5 m hose, the rosette, a wall connector and the fixings.
Can the spray be aimed?
The photos show no ball joint: the head stays horizontal at the end of the arm. Plan on a handset to direct the water.
Do I need to drill into the wall?
Yes, the arm's rosette screws to the wall with the wall plugs supplied. Use a tile drill bit and drill into a grout line if possible.
Are taps easy to install yourself?

Most of our models are designed to be easy to fit yourself, with clear instructions and standard tools. For some of the more complex models, it may be advisable to call in a professional.

What should I do if my tap starts to leak?

If your tap starts to leak, first check whether the problem comes from the seals or the cartridge. These parts can wear over time and are easy to replace. If the problem persists, contact our customer service team for help or to claim under the guarantee, if applicable.
