Press, and the water flows

Press, and the water flows

The recessed plate carries two large round buttons at the top and a lever at the bottom. Each button is marked with a pictogram: one opens the overhead shower head, the other the hand shower. One press is enough, with no dial to turn to find the right position.

The lever sets the hot and cold water mix by hand, as on a standard mixer.

This operation appeals to children and older people alike: the two buttons are spotted at a glance and pressed even with the back of the hand. The movement stays the same at every shower, with no setting to redo on a diverter.

A round shower head and a three-spray hand shower

A round shower head and a three-spray hand shower

At the top, a curved wall arm carries a flat round shower head, for rain that falls straight down. Lower down, the round hand shower is stored on a wall elbow that also serves as the water outlet.

The hand shower photos name its three sprays: rain under the shower, mixed water, and pulsed water, a concentrated central jet. You switch from one to another on the head of the hand shower.

The pulsed spray is for rinsing out a thick shampoo or massaging the neck; the rain, for a relaxed rinse.

A concealed installation, to be prepared

A concealed installation, to be prepared

The mixer body is housed in the partition, behind the plate. You therefore need to open the wall or take advantage of a renovation to install it, with the supplies for the head arm and the hand shower elbow: a plumber's job.

Once the tiles are laid, only the plate, the arm, the shower head and the hand shower remain visible: a shower with no visible tube, easy to wipe.

In matt black, the plate stands out against a grey or white wall; in chrome, it stays discreet. The two round buttons are wiped with a cloth, with no corner where water stagnates.

What makes the difference

A zamak body with a simple chrome plating: the finish flakes off and the metal pits underneath.

Our answer

A brass body, the benchmark material for taps: it does not rust and withstands hot water without warping.

Finding out at installation that the drilling does not match.

Our answer

The installation type is stated on the product page before you buy, here wall-mounted.
