What the dimensions show

What the dimensions show

This 3-way tap is one of the few to be dimensioned in its photos. You can read about 5.8 cm from one end to the other and 6.6 cm for the second dimension, as well as the threads: G3/4 at both ends of the body, G1/2 on the side outlet.

One end is female, with a brass insert visible at the bottom of the nut; the other is male. A flat black washer is photographed beside the part.

These details let you check, tape measure in hand, that it will fit before you even order it.

Check its threads first

Check its threads first

G3/4 is not the most common size on a toilet supply in France, which is most often 3/8″ (12x17). Before buying, check what comes out of your wall or isolation valve, and compare it with the dimensions in the photo.

The G1/2 side outlet matches the usual connection of a 1/2″ (15x21) handset hose. If your sizes differ, a reducing bush bridges two threads.

Under its chrome finish, the body is stated as brass. This is the standard material for plumbing fittings.

Use and care

Use and care

The chrome stem on top controls the water. Remember to close it when the sprayer is not in use: with no pressure in the hose, there is no dripping on the floor.

Shiny chrome quickly shows limescale in a damp room. A wipe with a cloth after cleaning is usually enough; for white marks, white vinegar diluted with water, then a rinse.

Avoid steel wool and scouring creams: they scratch the chrome layer. Also operate the stem from time to time, even if the sprayer is little used, so limescale doesn't seize it.

What makes the difference

Receiving just the one part, and having to order the rest elsewhere.

Our answer
  • 1 chrome 3-way tap
  • 1 flat seal

A zamak body with a simple chrome plating: the finish flakes off and the metal pits underneath.

Our answer

A brass body, the benchmark material for taps: it does not rust and withstands hot water without warping.

What are the thread sizes?
According to the dimensioned photo: G3/4 at both ends of the body (one female, one male) and G1/2 on the side outlet.
Will it fit my toilet supply?
Only if the threads match: in France, a toilet supply is usually 3/8″. A reducer bush can make the adaptation.
Is a washer included?
The photo shows a flat black washer lying next to the tap.
Can a shower handset be connected on the side?
Yes: the side outlet is G1/2, the usual size for a shower hose.
Are taps easy to install yourself?

Most of our models are designed to be easy to fit yourself, with clear instructions and standard tools. For some of the more complex models, it may be advisable to call in a professional.

What should I do if my tap starts to leak?

If your tap starts to leak, first check whether the problem comes from the seals or the cartridge. These parts can wear over time and are easy to replace. If the problem persists, contact our customer service team for help or to claim under the guarantee, if applicable.
