A head with no face

Most handsets have a disc pierced with holes. This one is just a black loop in the shape of a drop, open in the centre: you can see through it. The nozzles are pierced around the inner rim of the ring.

The photos in action show fine sprays leaving the loop, angled forward and towards the centre, and meeting a little further on in a dense beam. It is not a wide rain but a tight spray, more invigorating on the skin. The supplier classes it as a mist type, with a painted plastic body.

Simple to use

Simple to use

No button, no selector: a single type of spray, which you adjust at the mixer. It is a deliberate choice for those who never change settings and want a clean object.

Matt black goes with black taps, a shower screen with dark profiles or light tiles. The straight, fairly thick handle holds well even with soapy hands.

It is also appreciated for rinsing long hair or your back: the concentrated beam directs the water where you point it, without spraying the whole tray. It also rinses the shower walls precisely.

Installation and care

Installation and care

The bottom of the handle ends in a thread: the handset screws by hand onto the end of a standard shower hose, without tools. It then sits in a wall holder or on a rail.

The supplier advertises it as high pressure; the result, however, depends on your system's pressure, and we promise no figure.

The nozzles are small and set into the ring: rinse them regularly with clean water. A soft cloth is enough for the matt black; avoid abrasive products, which would leave shiny marks.

What makes the difference

Calling a plumber to upgrade your shower.

Our answer

A standard 1/2″ thread: it screws on by hand in five minutes, with no need to shut off the water at the meter.

A harsh jet that hits one spot and leaves your back cold.

Our answer

A wide spray area: at the same flow rate, the water covers your shoulders.

Limescale-clogged holes that can no longer be cleared.

Our answer

Soft nubs that clean with a swipe of the finger.

A heavy head that's a chore to hold when rinsing a child.

Our answer

A weight you can hold at arm's length, even with one hand.

Receiving just the one part, and having to order the rest elsewhere.
