Retro in black

Retro in black

The rain shower head isn't a flat disc: it has a domed, bell-shaped profile, like the shower heads of old. The 32 cm arm moves it away from the wall and the rain falls above your head.

Everything is matt black, from the tube to the rosettes. Against a grey wall, polished concrete or white tiles, the column draws a clean line. It suits an industrial-style bathroom or a period-style renovation.

The hose itself is black, which avoids the silver pipe that so often spoils the effect of a dark column. The round rosettes at the foot of the mixer follow the same colour.

A mixer with a spout, to fill or rinse

A mixer with a spout, to fill or rinse

The single-lever mixer has a short spout beneath its body. The water comes out of the spout or goes up to the shower, depending on the position of the diverter on top.

The spout fills a bath placed right below, or a bucket. The black handset, with its retro handle, sits on a sliding holder.

On the dimensioned photo, the spout projects about 15 cm and the adjustable height runs from 81 to 120 cm. The mixer is operated with one hand: lift the lever to turn on, turn it to balance hot and cold. A child understands the movement straight away.

Fitting and care for matt black

Fitting and care for matt black

The mixer screws onto two wall water supplies, using the eccentric connectors supplied. The tube is then fixed to the wall: allow for a drill and wall plugs suited to tiles.

Matt black doesn't shine, but it does show limescale. After the shower, a pass of a squeegee or cloth over the tube and the mixer is enough to avoid white marks.

Avoid harsh descalers, which can dull the finish. The boxed set shown in the photo also contains the rosettes and the connectors needed for fitting. Keep the fitting instructions to hand during installation.

What makes the difference

A single lever you never quite get right.

Our answer

Two separate handles: hot and cold are set independently, right down to the degree.

Buying the mixer, the rail and the shower head separately and hoping they match.

Our answer

A complete set: everything arrives matching, in the same finish, with the fixings included.

Breaking into the tiles to conceal the tap.

Our answer

Surface-mounted installation on the two existing outlets: no chasing, nothing to make good.

A fixed shower head that aims at your head and nothing else.

Our answer

A rain shower head that covers the shoulders, paired with an adjustable handset.

Turning the water off to change outlet, then setting the temperature again every time.

Our answer

A diverter that switches from one outlet to the other without touching the mix.

Can it be used on a bath?
Yes: the mixer has a spout that fills the tub, and a diverter sends the water to the shower.
What ceiling height is needed?
The column adjusts from 81 to 120 cm above the mixer, with a 32 cm arm; measure before you order.
Does matt black show marks?
Limescale leaves white marks on it: a wipe with a cloth after use avoids them.
What's in the box?
The tube, the arm, the rain shower head, the handset, the hose, the mixer, the handset bracket, the wall plates and the connectors, as visible in the package photo.
Are taps easy to install yourself?

Most of our models are designed to be easy to fit yourself, with clear instructions and standard tools. For some of the more complex models, it may be advisable to call in a professional.

What should I do if my tap starts to leak?

If your tap starts to leak, first check whether the problem comes from the seals or the cartridge. These parts can wear over time and are easy to replace. If the problem persists, contact our customer service team for help or to claim under the guarantee, if applicable.
