A bar-shaped handset

A bar-shaped handset

This is not a rain shower head but a narrow, rectangular handheld shower, slightly angled at the face. It measures 35 mm wide by 200 mm long.

Its face carries a grid of small raised nozzles across the whole width. The finish is matt black, with no visible chrome: it goes with black taps and fittings, a square black holder like the one in the lifestyle shot, or a glass screen with black profiles.

The supplier states a stainless steel construction.

Connection and compatibility

Connection and compatibility

The bottom of the handset ends in a thread marked G1/2 in the photos. This is the standard shower hose connector, also called 15x21: it screws by hand onto most hoses on the market, washer in place.

It then rests on a wall holder or a shower rail. In the lifestyle photo, it sits in a square black holder fixed to the wall, with its black hose.

The supplier does not state with certainty that this holder and hose are supplied: if you do not have any, plan for them, or write to us before ordering.

Who it suits, and how to care for it

Who it suits, and how to care for it

Its narrow shape sits well in the hand and slips in anywhere: to rinse hair, your back, the shower tray or the corners of a bath. It also works as a secondary handset beside an overhead shower head.

The supplier states an anti-limescale coating; in any case, rub the nozzles from time to time and wipe the matt black with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive products and concentrated vinegar, which leave light marks on a dark finish. Stored on its holder between showers, it dries faster and keeps its finish longer.
