Large shower head, sliding bar and shelf

Large shower head, sliding bar and shelf

At the top, a large rectangular shower head, with a black face pierced by nozzles, is carried on an angled arm. Below it, the square-headed handset adjusts for height on a holder that slides along the bar.

At hand height, a flat shelf runs across the unit, holding a perfume or shower gel bottle in the photos. The Black version appears in satin anthracite grey, while the White version keeps a black shower head face and a black handset face for a sharp contrast. The supplier states a brass body.

Dials, screen and waterfall

Dials, screen and waterfall

Under the shelf, two round dials. The one on the right shows ‘38°’ on a small screen, so you can see the water temperature before stepping under the spray. The supplier's description mentions a thermostatic mixer, whose job is to keep that temperature steady.

The shelf ends in a flat spout from which a broad waterfall flows, shown in white in the photos: handy for filling a bucket or rinsing your legs.

Between the dials and the bar, a small pencil-style handset stands upright on its holder: use it to rinse the tray, the screens or your feet without taking down the main handset.

What to plan for

What to plan for

With its angled arm, the column needs good ceiling height: measure the space above your water supplies before ordering.

It is surface-mounted, with holes drilled for the bar brackets, and connects to existing hot and cold supplies. If your old mixer had a different distance between supplies, a plumber will adapt the connectors.

For upkeep, rub the shower head nozzles with your fingertips now and then, and wipe the screen and dials with a soft cloth, with no abrasive product. On the white version, a rinse after showering prevents water marks.

What makes the difference

A zamak body with a simple chrome plating: the finish flakes off and the metal pits underneath.

Our answer

A brass body, the benchmark material for taps: it does not rust and withstands hot water without warping.

Finding out at installation that the drilling does not match.

Our answer

The installation type is stated on the product page before you buy, here wall-mounted.
