One lever, two outlets

One lever, two outlets

This wall-mounted mixer is operated with a single flat lever on top. Lift it to open the water, turn it left to warm it, right to cool it: that is what the photo shows with its hot and cold arrows.

Under the body, a short spout fills the bath. On this spout, a small button acts as a diverter: you operate it to send the water to the threaded outlet underneath, where the hand shower hose connects. In the in-situ photo, a metal hose is screwed onto it.

Supplies between 13.5 and 17 cm apart

Supplies between 13.5 and 17 cm apart

The two brass eccentric fittings, visible in the photos, are the key to installation. They screw into the wall outlets and pivot to bring their ends closer or further apart: the mixer thus adapts to supplies 13.5 to 17 cm apart, according to the ruler in the photo.

This is useful when replacing an old tap whose exact spacing you do not know. Measure centre to centre between your two water outlets: if you fall within this range, no work in the wall is needed. The chrome escutcheons then hide the thread.

Dimensions and care

Dimensions and care

The dimensioned diagram gives about 180 mm long, 150 mm at the connectors and 90 mm high. The body is stated to be zinc alloy, with a shiny chrome plating. It is a compact format that slips under a shower rail or above a bath without being bulky.

To keep the chrome shining, wipe off drops after showering and clean with soapy water; a mild limescale remover, rinsed straight away, deals with white marks. Customer service answers Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm, if you are unsure about the dimension of your supplies.
