Two parallel outlets above the tub

Two parallel outlets above the tub

Most double taps send water in two directions. This one lines up its two outlets side by side, both pointing at the floor: one at the end of the spout, the other in the middle of the body. Above a stone trough, a drain pit or a drinking trough, the water falls where you expect it.

The two control heads sit side by side on top. The flat lever is easy to take hold of with your fingertips, as in the photo where a hand operates it above a garden pond; a red or blue disc marks the top of each head.

Dimensions and shut-off

Dimensions and shut-off

End to end, the tap measures 130 mm. The inlet thread at the back is 20 mm: check that it matches your wall outlet, generally 1/2″, i.e. 15x21, on French outdoor installations.

Shut-off is by a disc valve, according to the manufacturer. The nozzles are barbed: a flexible hose pushes onto them and is held by a hose clip. They don't accept clip-on garden connectors without an adapter. For everyday use, keep a flexible hose on the middle nozzle and use the spout for a watering can. The polished stainless steel rinses clean with a jet of water after a muddy job.

Fitting in three steps

Fitting in three steps

The photos show the tap with a roll of PTFE tape and a stainless steel wall plate. Slide the plate over the thread, then wind on the tape in the direction of tightening, about half a dozen taut turns.

Then screw it on by hand, finish with a spanner and stop when the two heads are nicely upright, outlets pointing down. Turn the supply on and check the thread: a bead of water calls for a quarter-turn more, no further. Before winter, switch off the supply indoors and the tap drains through its two outlets.

What makes the difference

Draining the tap every autumn and still finding it split in spring.

Our answer

A valve that closes upstream of the wall: no water is left standing in the part exposed to frost.

A smooth nozzle that no hose connector will grip.

Our answer

A threaded nozzle to the standard used by off-the-shelf quick connectors.

A thin handwheel that's impossible to turn in wet gloves.

Our answer

A quarter-turn opening, on a wide control.

Paint that blisters in the first summer.

Our answer

A material made for outdoors: sun, rain and frost make no difference.

Receiving just the one part, and having to order the rest elsewhere.

Our answer
  • 1 stainless steel double-outlet tap
  • 1 rose
  • 1 roll of PTFE tape

Frequently asked questions

About this tap

+33 7 56 88 18 90 Write to us
Is the water drinkable?
No: the manufacturer states it is not intended for drinking water. It is for watering, washing and filling.
What does the number 304 mean?
It's the stainless steel grade, stamped on the body: a common stainless steel for tapware, which stands up to rain.
What hose should I connect?
A flexible hose pushed onto the barbed nozzle and tightened with a clip. A clip-on nozzle needs an adapter.
What should I do when it freezes?
Switch off the supply upstream, open both heads and let the water run out with the hose disconnected.
Are taps easy to install yourself?

Most of our models are designed to be easy to fit yourself, with clear instructions and standard tools. For some of the more complex models, it may be advisable to call in a professional.

What should I do if my tap starts to leak?

If your tap starts to leak, first check whether the problem comes from the seals or the cartridge. These parts can wear over time and are easy to replace. If the problem persists, contact our customer service team for help or to claim under the guarantee, if applicable.
