The kitchen spray is used to rinse vegetables, fruit, dishes and the bottom of the sink without filling the bowl. On a kitchen tap with spray, it comes out of the spout on the end of a hose and then stores back in the spout. To compare all our taps, with or without a spray, see our kitchen taps collection.

Kitchen taps with pull-out spray

This is the most common format: the pull-out spray forms the tip of the spout and is pulled towards the sink. Many have two spray modes, a straight jet for filling and a rain spray for rinsing.

Which kitchen tap with pull-out spray should you choose?

Single-hole sink: a single-hole tap, the case for 40 sheets on the page. For a double-bowl sink, choose a high spout or one that swivels 360°.
Granite or black resin sink: a matt black tap, 36 models come in black. Stainless steel sink: chrome (31 models) or brushed stainless steel.
Retro kitchen: Retro aged brass kitchen tap with pull-out spray (€142.90) or Retro brass kitchen tap with 2 spouts and pull-out spray (€161.90).
White kitchen: three white taps, from €65.90 to €83.90.
Small budget: the Wall-Mounted Kitchen Tap with Pull-Out Spray (€68.90) or the swan neck at €51.90.

The length of the pull-out spray matters as much as the spout: some sheets give it in cm, like the Low black kitchen tap with 23 cm pull-out spray (€84.90) or the Gold kitchen tap with 2 spouts and 38 cm pull-out spray (€138.90). Also check the height under a wall unit or a window, and the space between the tap and the splashback. Installing and looking after a tap with pull-out spray

A kitchen tap with a pull-out spray is fitted like a sink mixer tap: turn off the water, remove the old tap, fix the new one in the sink hole, connect the hot and cold water hoses, then the spray hose under the sink, following the product instructions. Our guide is it hard to change a kitchen mixer tap? goes through each step. For maintenance, rub the spray head's nozzle plate to remove limescale and wipe the tap after use to keep its finish.

Frequently asked questions about kitchen taps with pull-out spray

How do you take apart a kitchen tap with a pull-out spray?

You turn off the water, disconnect the spray from its hose under the sink, then unscrew the tap's fixing nut. All the steps are in our article how to take apart a kitchen tap.

How do you take apart a tap with no visible screw?

On many mixer taps, the lever screw is hidden under a cap or a coloured disc: remove it with your fingernail or a small flat screwdriver before reaching the screw. If the head will not come off, do not force it: limescale often locks it, and our dismantling guide gives the steps to follow.

What should I do if my kitchen tap with a pull-out spray leaks?

First find where the water is leaking: at the spout, at the base of the tap, at the spray connection or under the sink. Our guide leaking or dripping mixer tap helps you find the cause; for a worn seal, read changing a kitchen tap seal.

What are the disadvantages of a mixer tap with a pull-out spray?

The spray hose runs under the sink and takes up a little space in the cabinet; you also need to let the spray retract fully so it does not hang down. In return, you can rinse the whole bowl without moving the dishes.

What are the different types of kitchen taps?

The single-hole mixer tap, the tap with pull-out spray, the spring-loaded tap, the wall-mounted tap and the fold-down tap. Our article choosing a kitchen mixer tap for your sink compares them.
