22 sink accessories from €8.90 to €66.90
The selection brings together 22 items for the kitchen sink and the worktop around it. The Silicone Draining Mat costs from €23.90. The most expensive is the Wall-Mounted Kitchen Organiser at €66.90, then the Water Filter Adaptor for Kitchen Tap at €39.90. Most sink accessories are between €9.90 and €19.90.
They can be sorted into four families: what sits in the bottom of the sink, what attaches to the tap, what stores and dries around the sink, and a few utensils for the worktop.
In the bottom of the sink: baskets, plug and anti-odour
- Stainless Steel Sink Waste Plug, €8.90: according to its sheet, it catches food debris to stop the sink from blocking.
- MaxiCompost Sink Strainer Basket, €9.90, in orange, light blue, green or yellow: it collects food waste directly in the sink.
- Sink Strainer Basket, €14.90, in black or chrome: it holds back waste while letting the water drain away.
- Anti-Odour Sink Protector, €14.90, in five colours: its sheet presents it as protection against odours rising from the sink.
At the tap: sprayers, filters and end pieces
These accessories attach to the existing tap to change the spray or the water that comes out of it.
- Water Filters for Impurities, €9.90, in green, red or blue: small filters that the sheet describes as activated charcoal and zeolite.
- Waterfall Spray Head, €29.90, in black or chrome: it lets you switch from a standard spray to a waterfall spray.
- Economy LED Kitchen Tap Sprayer, €29.90, in black, grey, chrome or stainless steel.
- Eco Kitchen Sink Accessory, €34.90, in black, gold, chrome or stainless steel: it attaches to the tap and, according to its sheet, lets you control the water flow.
- Water Filter Adaptor for Kitchen Tap, €39.90, in chrome.
- Wash Ace Tap, €24.90, in black or brushed nickel: its sheet describes it as stainless steel, with a vertical spout, a single handle and single-hole mounting, for cold water.
Before buying an accessory that screws onto the tap, check the diameter of your spout: end pieces and aerators do not all have the same thread. The sheet for the waterfall spray head, the LED sprayer and the eco accessory states a 1/2-inch connection, as does the sheet for The Washing Ace.
Around the sink: draining, storage and soap
- Silicone Draining Mat, €23.90 or €29.90 depending on the size (medium or large), in grey, red, blue or green: a non-slip surface to dry dishes without wetting the worktop.
- Silicone kitchen strainer, €28.90, in five colours: it attaches to the sink for rinsing and draining fruit and vegetables.
- Sink Sponge Holder, €14.90, in black: it keeps the sponge within reach and lets it dry.
- Sink Soap Dispenser, €24.90, and Éclatant Soap Dispenser, €19.90, in black or white: for washing-up liquid or soap, next to the tap.
- Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink Organiser, €16.90 or €19.90, in black or grey, with or without a shelf, in stainless steel according to its sheet.
- Stainless Steel Towel Holder, €12.90 or €14.90 depending on the length (23 or 36 cm), in black, chrome or white.
- Paper Towel Holder, €12.90 or €14.90, in black, chrome or gold.
- Wall-Mounted Kitchen Organiser, €39.90 with a holder: for keeping utensils on the wall, near the sink.
On the worktop
- Multifunctional Chopping Board, €19.90, in green or white: a chopping board with storage compartments and raised edges to stop spills. As with wooden chopping boards, the ideal is to have two: choose the colour according to use, for example one board for vegetables and another for meat.
- The selection also includes two kitchen utensils that are not fitted at the sink: a weighing spoon and a manual chopper.
Which accessories should you choose for your sink?
- To stop the sink from blocking: a waste basket (€9.90 or €14.90) or the stainless steel plug (€8.90).
- Against odours: the Anti-Odour Sink Protector at €14.90.
- To dry dishes: the silicone draining mat, more flexible than rigid draining racks and easy to store when space is short.
- For a tidy sink: the sponge holder, one of the two soap dispensers and the sink organiser, which free up space on the worktop.
- To change the spray without changing the tap: the waterfall spray head or the eco accessory.
- For a small budget: the MaxiCompost basket, at €9.90.
Style matters too. Match the colour of the accessories to your sink: stainless steel or chrome accessories blend into a stainless steel sink, while black and white stand out more on a light wood worktop.
Looking after sink accessories
Empty the waste baskets after each wash-up and rinse them in hot water. Silicone accessories are washed in soapy water. On stainless steel, a soft cloth is enough: avoid abrasive sponges, which mark the finish. Store the mat rolled up or flat, without folding it, so it keeps its shape. For filters and end pieces fixed to the tap, unscrew them from time to time to remove limescale with white vinegar.

To complete your kitchen
To choose the tap that goes with it, our guide how to choose the right mixer tap for your sink compares the models according to the size of the bowl. Then see our models of sink tap, our sink mixer taps and all our kitchen taps. To replace a worn aerator, our tap end pieces screw onto most spouts. And for a single-lever model, on the sink or on the wall, see our choice of kitchen mixer taps.
Under a window, a fold-down kitchen tap lies down to let the casement open.
