A set, not a single piece

A set, not a single piece

The contents photo shows the set laid flat: an extra-flat square head, a long square-section wall arm, a square mixer plate and its lever, an in-wall box, a hose and a bag of fixings.

On the wall, only two elements remain: the rain overhead, the control at mid-height. The plumbing disappears behind the tiles.

It is a clean walk-in shower with no visible bar or column, leaving all the space to the tiling. The set should therefore be planned during a renovation, before the tiles are laid, and not as a simple replacement for an existing head.

A square design from the arm to the handle

A square design from the arm to the handle

What sets it apart from round sets is the consistency of the angles: the arm drops at a right angle to the head, the plate is square, the lever is a flat blade.

The head is very thin and delivers a straight rain, with no spray adjustment. The single lever turns the water on and sets the temperature by hand: it is a mixer, not a thermostatic valve.

The photos show a light stainless steel finish, a brushed gold and a matt black; the options are called chrome, gold and black. Choose the shade to suit the rest of your bathroom: brushed gold warms up white tiles, black sets off light grey tiles.

Installation: plan the work

Installation: plan the work

The box is built into the partition wall and connects to hot water, cold water and the outlet to the head. This step is done before tiling, by a plumber or an experienced DIYer.

The arm is then fixed to the wall above the shower area; allow for the arm length and the thickness of the head so the rain falls in the middle of the shower.

To clean, use a soft sponge and soapy water; on the gold and black finishes, avoid harsh limescale removers.

What makes the difference

Receiving just the one part, and having to order the rest elsewhere.

A zamak body with a simple chrome plating: the finish flakes off and the metal pits underneath.

Our answer

A brass body, the benchmark material for taps: it does not rust and withstands hot water without warping.

Finding out at installation that the drilling does not match.

Our answer

The installation type is stated on the product page before you buy, here wall-mounted.

No, it's a single-lever mixer: you set the temperature by hand.
