A mixer with a spout, under the rail

A mixer with a spout, under the rail

The bottom of the column is a single-lever wall mixer: lift for flow, turn for temperature. Below it, a flat, elongated spout comes out forward; it fills a bath or a bucket without going through the handset.

This configuration makes it a good choice above a bath, as well as in a shower.

The body is declared as stainless steel, in matt black, with sharp-edged parts. The lever, also flat and square, is operated with one finger; spout and lever follow the same straight line as the rain shower.

Square rain shower and matching handset

Square rain shower and matching handset

At the top, the square rain shower measures about 20 x 20 cm on the drawing, at the end of an arm of around thirty centimetres. Its nozzles are lined up in a regular grid.

The handset takes the same shape: a square head pierced with nozzles, in a slider that slides on the rail. The drawing gives it a 150 cm hose.

The rail is telescopic, adjustable from 79 to 110 cm: you adapt the height of the rain shower to that of the ceiling and the users, without drilling again. The slider locks with a small side knob.

Installation and care

Installation and care

The mixer connects to two water supplies coming out of the wall, then the rail is fixed higher up. If you are replacing an old column with a wall mixer, your outlets are probably already in place; otherwise, call a plumber.

Remember to measure: water supplies, plus rail, plus arm, must fit under the ceiling.

For limescale, rub the rain shower's nozzles with a soft brush and rinse; matt black is wiped with a soft cloth. The handset's nozzles are treated the same way, with the head unhooked from its hose and soaked in a bowl of vinegar water.

What makes the difference

Buying the mixer, the rail and the shower head separately and hoping they match.

Our answer

A complete set: everything arrives matching, in the same finish, with the fixings included.

Breaking into the tiles to conceal the tap.

Our answer

Surface-mounted installation on the two existing outlets: no chasing, nothing to make good.

A fixed shower head that aims at your head and nothing else.

Our answer

A rain shower head that covers the shoulders, paired with an adjustable handset.

Turning the water off to change outlet, then setting the temperature again every time.

Our answer

A diverter that switches from one outlet to the other without touching the mix.

Metal nozzles that clog with limescale and end up being cleared with a needle.

Our answer

Soft silicone nozzles: a swipe of the thumb lifts off limescale.
